Time to meet Gustavo, the Shy Ghost… which was originally in time for Halloween.
How could I not include this work by Nikki Grimes while I was walking in the Walpole Woods with her. What an amazing visit we had. I learned so much about the creation of this story, and the special gifts brought to this work by Brian Pinkney after the passing of his father, Jerry.
I’m such a fan of Joyce Sidman’s work, and Hello, Earth! is no exception.
I think it’s hard to revise text! I can’t imagine what my illustrator, Alina Chau, goes through for the “perfect” cover! We’re extremely grateful to our agents for pairing us together again to create One Perfect Plan. A bucket load of gratitude to the Penguin/ WaterBrook Team as well.
